What the heck is a blog? Well, I do have an idea. I have seen a few blogs in my time. And dear reader I'm not going to bullsh-t you, there's prolly more miles of road behind your correspondent, than in front. So yes I've seen my share of blogs.
However, your correspondent comes from the gen, when, you rode your bike down the street and knocked on a friend or neighbor's door. When you got old enough to use the (rotary-dial) phone, you ended up memorizing phone numbers, or kept an actual phone book. Yes an actual book.
Answering machines, microwave ovens, color TV's, cd players... these things were not even invented yet. Or at least not in wide usage. Definitely not at my house. Things that my middle-class/depression-era/parents probably considered extravagant when they first encountered them. A Blog? Not even a glimmer in your mom's eye.
Dammit Jim, I'm a guitar player, not a motorcycle mechanic!
Just kidding. Not a trekkie. And I'm no techie either. Far from it. A product of the Los Angeles City School System. From the day when it didn't matter if you passed, they moved you up anyways. And having a finely honed sense of laziness, coupled with some kind of intelligence, I figured that out. Proceeded to opt out of doing the work, and of probably learning anything, for that matter. I've gotten this far using the "Plow-Forward" method. Adequate enough to get me here, writing for you, but sometimes more than a little frustrating.
But the whole point of this site is the music. That's why I created the site. As a venue for the songs. So how'd I get off on this walk down memory lane and all tangled up in this blog thing? Well, like the kid who sees a tool in his Dad's toolbox and wonder's "what's that for?" (and then proceeds to destroy something with said tools), seeing all these web-tools is more of a temptation than I can handle.
Ok were getting somewhere. Blog, hmm?
All I can offer you at this point is a vision. Or maybe not. It'll be whatever I feel like at the time more than likely.
There's soo much stuff I can destroy with this tool!!! :)
Might need a bigger hammer tho... ;)
